Surviving and Thriving in this accelerated energy.
We’ve all been told that the energy on this planet would continue to heighten until we as a planet learned to live together in tolerance honoring the diversity that is represented on earth or as some sacred texts suggest we just have to start over. This message has been passed down through most sacred text, through profits and individuals of faith, and even by ecologist. Humanity has to learn to live together. This is the only way that we can heal our planet and ourselves.
Like many people when things get “exciting” I tend to fall back on what I call the basics. These seem to be simplistic, but as you read them and what they mean ask yourself, “How often do I do this”?
Ground
Ground represents the lowest part, bottom or base of something. Many Eastern, Celtic and American Indian philosophies believe that the physical body is the base of the soul. They also believe that when you bring the physical body into harmony you are actively manifesting your soul purpose within the physical. Ignoring the physical body thus can cause disturbance in all other aspects of you life. A house not built on a solid foundation “Ground” will fall.
Clear
“Clear”, suggests a freedom from cloudiness, haziness, muddiness, etc., either literally or figuratively. Through kyrillion photography it has been shown that the human body, plants, and animals, have an energy field around their bodies. In many cultures it is believed that this energy can be transferred from one individual to another, consciously or unconsciously. The theory is that if you collect other peoples’ emotions, feelings, etc., your energy field acts like a sponge and you begin to mirror others’ challenges.
Balance
A state of equilibrium or equipoise; equality in amount, weight, value, or importance between two things or the parts of a thing. Many of the early spiritual and physical philosophies looked at the human being, as a series of components that must be maintained in balance or disease, “dis – ease”, would occur. The focus of any healing modality is to support the parts of the human essence to stay in a state of fluid balance just like nature.
Protect
To shield from injury, danger or loss. To guard or defend. Everyone is aware of taking care of the physical body, but how many of us are aware of taking care of the emotional, mental or spiritual bodies? If scientist and philosophers are correct and if we do have some sort of energy around us that can be recorded by specific photography, can we lose this energy or change or adulterate it? In early cultures, Celt, Eastern and American Indian it was believed that you could. It was also taught that each individual was responsible for maintaining this life force or space for themselves and for others who were weak due to illness.
One of my early teachers, Gayne Myers, told his students that you could only reach the highest levels of spirit in direct proportion to how well you were grounded, how clear you actively kept your aura, how balanced your energy field was and how protected you kept your aura or energy field. I remember his constantly reminding us that to respond to a situation you must be in this centered space anything else is a reaction. Right now I’m back to what my students jokingly referred to as “the basics”. I choose to be a part of the response not the reaction.
Love,
Most Reverend Sophia Angela DeBry, S.T.L, M.Th., D.D.
